A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Alhaji Abdulmumin Kolo Gulani, has said that,Governor Buni of Yobe State, is unifying and bringing stability and progress to the state. He added that the state would not accept political imposition.
A statement signed by Hon Kolo, and made available to LEADERSHIP, said the APC losing in Yobe State in 2023 wasn’t about marginalization but rather a cry for good governance from the citizens.
“I can boldly say the Yobe South has its internal crisis that seems to be tribalism that contributed to the loss. Blaming it solely on power rotation is an oversimplification,” he said.
The statement said the claim that Yobe South was being neglected was disputed by the fact that the current administration had made significant investments in the area. He said under the leadership of Mai Mala Buni, there were many projects too numerous to mention.
According to his statement, these projects demonstrate Governor Buni’s commitment to improving the lives of Yobe State citizens, particularly Yobe South. “The party has united members in the state unlike what some desperate people think in Abuja, and Buni’s leadership has been instrumental to maintaining stability within the APC.”
” Let me make one thing clear. I’m not opposing the appointments of competent sons and daughters of Yobe South in the Federal Government. However, the issue of imposing a gubernatorial candidate on the party in the state is senseless. The people of Yobe State want to choose their leaders, and we believe that Mai Mala Buni’s leadership has been exemplary,” said Kolo.
“Governor Buni has been a unifying figure, bringing stability and progress to Yobe State. His leadership has been instrumental in maintaining peace and unity within the party, and his efforts have yielded tangible results. From infrastructure development to empowering women and youths as well as fighting poverty in the state, Governor Buni has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the people of Yobe State,” he added.
