500 Terrorists Killed In Ngoshe, Fatori Attacks — Zulum

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has disclosed that nothing less than 500 Boko Haram/ ISWAP ) terrorists were killed in the aftermath of Ngoshe, Pulka, Malam Fatori and other attacks that occurred recently.

The governor made the disclosure on Sunday in Pulka during the distribution of palliative to the victims of Ngoshe and Pulka Boko Haram attacks.

The governor who regretted that only bad stories of the Boko Haram insurgency were narrated to Nigerians, while the successes recorded in the war were not narrated, added that the military is doing their best.

He further vowed that the people of the state shall never be deterred by what has happened, saying that as far as the people are concerned, they shall defeat the terrorists.

Zulum said,” Aftermath of Ngoshe and Malam Fatori attacks , nothing less than 500 insurgents were killed, but unfortunately only bad stories were being narrated to Nigerians. The good stories were not narrated.

Though they have some certain lapses, the federal government has released huge money so that the Multi – national Joint Task Force ( MNJTF ) will carryout operations against the terrorists.This is Mandara hill . Mandara hill is under the supervision of the MNJTF.”

On succession plans considering the winding up of his administration, the overnor said sustainability would be the vision of his administration.

“We should look into sustainability. Even if the successor will not add additional structure to what we have done, we shall look for the person that will sustain the work on ground and enthrone peace and stability,” Zulum further said.
