Gombe Inter-Schools Athletics Meet: Nafada Finishes Overall Best

Family Supports Primary School in Gombe has emerged the overall winner of the maiden Gombe Inter- Primary Schools Athletics competitions. 

The school emergence was aided by the versatility of MVA Zainab Ahmed Nafaɗa, who excelled in five events namely 100m, long jump, 200m and 4x100m, 4x200m relay girls.

In an interview shortly after receiving her prizes, Zainab thanked the Almighty Allah for setting records for her school for the first time.

She said setting a record as a young girl was not easy but would boost her morals in the next competition.

She expressed happiness for emerging overall Winner which she I’m proud of now and in the future.

Zainab, however, called on athletes that lost at the competition not to be discouraged as it is part of learning process and urged them to put more effort next time.

“As a Primary School girl, I am very proud and encouraged to take part in AthIetics, even when I advance to the secondary school”

“Though I won the overall in these Competitions, my ambition is actually to become a medical Doctor,” she said.
