Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter has extended condolences to Jama’atul Nasril Islam, (JNI), Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Nuhu Bamali and the Muslim community over the collapse of Zaria Central Mosque on Friday.
The Kaduna State chairman of CAN, Rev. John Hayab, in a condolence message to JNI on Monday, described the collapse of the ancient and historic mosque as an unfortunate incident.
Hayab said the grief is not only within the muslim community but it is a grief for all.
“Every good citizen of Kaduna State is in pain since the ugly incident, as a family we urge relatives, friends and families of the deceased to take heart, while praying and hoping that God will grant JNI and others the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Fraternal greetings to you. We received with grief the sudden collapse of the ancient and historic mosque at Kofar Fada, Zaria on Friday, August 11, 2023 during la’asar prayers.
“The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna State writes on behalf of the Christian community in the State to commiserate with His Royal Highness, The Emir of Zazzau and all the Muslim ummah in the state over this unfortunate incident.
“We pray that God will grant Jama’atul Nasril Islam, and grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and graciously heal all those that were injured.
“May God in HIs Infinite mercy grant us the desired peace and progress in our dear state and nation. Once again, accept our heartfelt condolence,” he said.
