Real Madrid might launch the offensive to sign in-form 23-year-old Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic, in the January transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Dusan Vlahovic is the subject of interest from Real Madrid.

The Merengues are closely monitoring the performances of the 23-year-old striker. And they might approach Juventus for the in-form forward in the January transfer window.

Dusan Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 as one of the most promising young strikers in the world. But he has blown hot and cold since arriving at the Allianz Stadium 18 months ago. While he has shown flashes of brilliance, he was sub-par in the 2022/23 season.

The Serb’s performances reflected the turbulence surrounding Juventus last term, as he managed only 14 goals across all competitions. But the 23-year-old has started the 2023/24 campaign strongly, finding the back of the net four times while providing one assist in four appearances thus far.

Vlahovic’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid closely monitoring his performances at Juventus. And the Merengues plan to track his displays for the Bianconeri in the coming weeks as they contemplate rare January business.

Meanwhile, they interestingly rejected the chance to sign the in-form striker this past summer.

The 23-year-old has been on Real Madrid’s radar since his days at Fiorentina. But the Merengues have not pulled the trigger despite keeping tabs on Vlahovic’s progress. However, they might have to launch the offensive for an alternate target in 2024 if Kylian Mbappe, their priority, signs a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ligue 1 champions want to tie Mbappe to a new lucrative contract in the coming weeks. So, it behoves Real Madrid to scout the market for alternatives. And Vlahovic is seemingly a target ahead of the January transfer window, with the report claiming a winter move might be possible.

Several other strikers are also on Real Madrid’s radar. So, it will be interesting to see if Vlahovic becomes the top target for the Spanish outfit in the coming months. For now, the Merengues are seemingly keeping their options open amid uncertainties surrounding Mbappe’s move.
