Gov. Kefas Presents Over N311bn Budget To Assembly

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas yesterday presented a budget estimate of over N311 billion to the House of Assembly for the 2024 fiscal year.

Tagged;  “Budget of moving forward” the governor said it would give priority to education, security, women and youths empowerment, infrastructure development and health.

Kefas said recurrent expenditure is estimated at N111.6bn representing 36.9 percent  while capital expenditure is estimated at N199.7bn representing 64.1 percent of the budget. 

He said five percent of the budget was been allocated to the special initiative, The Green Taraba Project.

“This project is a testament to our dedication to preserving the natural beauty of our state, enhancing our ecological balance and mitigating the impact of climate change,” he said.
