Tiv Youths Condemn Attack On Akume

The Tiv Youth Organisation (TYO) has expressed disapproval of recent actions by the Idoma Youth Forum towards the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
In a statement issued by the secretary-general of TYO, Comrade Ikpeen Terhemba, he expressed the paramount importance of prioritising the interest of the Nigerian state over personal agenda.
TYO refuted claims made against the SGF, stating they were unfounded and insulting.

“The allegations against the SGF are baseless and demeaning. It is inconceivable that he, attending a wedding ceremony, would behave in such a manner towards Gen. Lawrence Onoja. Such accusations tarnish the dignity of both individuals, who are esteemed elder statesmen.

“Previously, the Idoma National Forum called for the SGF’s removal by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This letter was rightly ignored, as it held no merit for the development of the Nigerian State.

“The referenced Senator Titus Tartenger Zam and Comrade Austin Agada, APC chairman in the state, should promptly address this matter to clear their names of any association with the smear campaign orchestrated by the Idoma Youth Forum,” the group said.

TYO urged all referenced figures to address the issue and uphold their integrity.
