Sokoto Catholic Diocese Loses Chancellor

The death was yesterday announced of the Diocesan Chancellor of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Very Rev. Father Cornelius Tagwai.

He died early Friday. Father Cornelius, who was said to have been receiving medical treatment outside the country for months.

Acting Diocesan Chancellor, Rev Fr Nuhu Illiya, said Bishop Kukah requested for prayers for the repose of his soul.

The message sent to the religious, laity and members of the Catholic community by Rev Fr Nuhu, said the burial arrangements would be communicated soon.
