Bauchi State chairman of the Nigerian Association of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Muhammad Yunusa has pleaded with the state government to consider its members in the distribution of fertilizer and other farm inputs for this year’s farming season.
He made the plea while speaking with journalists in Bauchi on Friday.
Yunusa urged members to be well-prepared for this year’s farming as the rainy season sets in so that they can provide adequate food for their families in particular and the nation at large.
The NULGE chairman said due to the economic downturn, there is the need for the members to fully engage in cultivation activities, which according to him, will alleviate the sufferings being faced by Nigerians.
He also commended the effort of the state government under the leadership of Governor Bala Muhammad for the laudable projects executed across the state.
While calling on members to remain law-abiding, the NULGE chairman appealed for more interventions from the state government to the union for a conducive working environment.
