The leader of the 10,000 Youths Organisation in the Niger Delta region, Comrade Ebi Rawlings, has appealed for restraint and calm in the region as some youths across the country insist on staging nationwide protests against the prevailing economic hardship.

In a statement yesterday in Abuja Rawlings commended Dr. Dennis Otuaro for his statesmanship and leadership in calling for peace and unity.

He said the leader appealed to protesters to follow the path of peace and seek peaceful dialogue with the government.

He stated: “We acknowledge that the President is aware of the nation’s challenges and has been actively addressing them since assuming office. Anger, violence, and harsh actions will only lead to more suffering and instability, undermining efforts to build a stable nation.

“We believe that President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda has the potential to transform Nigeria and improve the lives of all Nigerians.”

The leader encouraged Nigerian youth to continue their regular activities and avoid engaging in potentially disruptive events, assuring that the 10,000 Youths Organisation will continue to work tirelessly to promote and ensure peaceful coexistence in the nation.
