KWSC Inaugurates Committees For School Track & Field Final

The Kwara State Sports Commission yesterday inaugurated eight  committees to ensure successful staging of the grand finale of 2023  Secondary Schools Track and Field Championship scheduled to hold October 22 to 25, 2024.

While inaugurating the committees, the executive chairman of the Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji  ably represented by the Commission’s  secretary, Mr Haruna Tsado appreciated members of the committees for working tirelessly to see the championship to the final stage.

He urged them not to relent in their efforts as there is more work to be done to ensure a successful grand finale.

Tsado particularly saluted the doggedness of the director of Sports, Mal. Ibrahim Bako whose effort was instrumental in seeing the championship to this level.

The inaugural meeting which was held at Kwara Football Academy conference room and presided over by the Director of sports   comprises  the LOC members and the zonal sports coordinators.

The director commended the Marketing and Technical Committees for their perseverance and successful conclusion of the zonal events.

He charged the various committees to work hand in hand so that  the common goal is achieved.

The committees are : Accreditation which has Bello Kehinde Azeez as chairman, Accommodation/ Welfare, Alhaja Afusat Adesoye, chairman, Disciplinary/ Technical, Dr Usman and Patient Lawal as co- chairmen, Ceremonial/ Protocol, Hamidu Olowo, chairman.

Others are; Marketing – Bayo Azeez chairman, Medical, Mrs. Memunat Opobiyi ,chairman, Media /Publicity – Yusuf Feruke, chairman, Security, Omole Oladipo chairman.
