Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command have apprehended four suspected armed robbers and successfully recovered a stolen vehicle.
This was disclosed in a statement on Sunday by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel.
According to the statement, three of the suspects, Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja, were arrested by officers attached to the Mararaba ‘A’ Division of the Command. The fourth suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was apprehended in the New Karu area of the state.
During the operation, the police recovered a fabricated rifle, a knife, and criminal charms from the first group of suspects. Additionally, a blue Toyota Camry with the registration number RBC 980 DA was seized from Abubakar, who resided in the Mabushi area of Abuja.
DSP Nansel further revealed that the suspects have confessed to being part of a gang responsible for terrorising the Mararaba area and its surroundings.
In the statement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, urged the rightful owner of the stolen vehicle to visit the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership to claim their property.
