JTI Commends Governor Namadi For Enrolling 143,500 Into Health Insurance

Islamic organization known as Jamatul Tajdidul Islam (JTI) has commended Jigawa State governor Malam Umar Namadi for approving the enrollment of 143,500 less privileged persons into the state social security health insurance.

The group’s national president, Engr Shiekh Malam Abubakar Mujahid, made the commendation when he led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the governor in his office.

Shiekh Mujahid, noted that. JTI has been monitoring and following the programmes and projects executed by the Jigawa State government to safeguard the life, dignity, and properties of the Jigawa people, which is in tandem with the concept of Islamic government.

“Supporting less privileged people including physically challenged, old age, people with persistent chronic aliment, orphans to have access to basic healthcare services is worth commendation, so also, the distribution of palliative.

“The establishment of Tsangaya Board to reposition and improve Quar”anic teaching and learning, address child street begging, building mosque and Islamiyya schools, herders/farmers conflict resolution mechanism are all commendable,” he said.

The JTI national president also narrated some of the activities conducted by the organization in the state, which include building mosques, Islamiyya schools, boreholes, and propagating the true teaching of Islam, which emphasizes humanity and peaceful coexistence.

He also commiserated with the state governor over the flood disaster, which killed over 70 people and displaced hundreds of households in the state.

In his remarks, Governor Umar Namadi thanked JTI for the visit and the humanitarian activities it has been carrying out in the state, which complement the government’s effort to promote the well-being of people, peace, and development in the state.
