The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has appointed Engineer Musa Nimrod as the president of the CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission.
This significant appointment, made in Casablanca, Morocco, marks a pivotal moment for both Nimrod and the future development of beach volleyball across Africa.
Nimrod’s appointment, announced in Casablanca, Morocco, represents a significant milestone not only for Nigeria where he is the president of volleyball federation but also for the future development of beach volleyball across Africa.
In his acceptance speech, Nimrod outlined his vision for the sport, vowing to elevate beach volleyball to one of the premier sports on the continent. “With our collective efforts and strategic planning, we can unlock this sport’s immense potential,” he stated.
Nimrod commended the leadership of CAVB, particularly Madam Bouchra Hajij, the board of administration; Engineer Habu Gumel, who he referred to as the father of volleyball in Nigeria and the President CAVB Zone 3, Ali Yaro.
“I want to applaud the unwavering support and guidance from Madam Bouchra Hajij and Engineer Habu Gumel. Their dedication to the sport has been instrumental in our progress, and I look forward to working closely with them to promote beach volleyball across Africa.
“My appreciation will not be complete without recognising the efforts of the President CAVB Zone 3, Ali Yaro for his support throughout the years.
“The commission will work closely with Madam Bouchra Hajij ensuring her dreams for beach volleyball in the continent become a reality”, he said.
