The Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, have rejoiced with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari on the 29th anniversary of ascending the throne of his forefathers.
The governor and the speaker, in separate statements, congratulated Sulu- Gambari on the milestone.
The governor in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye said: ” Ilorin over the last 29 years has seen more positive growths across sectors, with its status rising in national importance, population, harmony, and prestige associated with important landmarks now dotting the southernmost emirate city.
“We thank His Royal Highness for his strong leadership, his support for the people and government, and the grace with which he handles delicate matters of public importance.”
AbdulRazaq asked God to uphold the first class monarch upon goodness and bless his old age with good health, happiness, and continuous peace and harmony.
Also, the speaker of the State House of Assembly, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, AbdulKadir Yusuf congratulated the emir on behalf of his colleagues, management and staff of the Assembly.
He said;” We, at the State House of Assembly, are proud and happy to be associated with the numerous successes that the Ilorin Emirate and indeed the entire Kwara State have recorded during the reign of His Royal Highness.
” We are delighted that the Ilorin Emirate and the entire Kwara State have continued to witness tremendous infrastructural development in the last 29 years of the reign of His Royal Highness, especially in the last five years of the people-centred administration of a proud son of the Ilorin Emirate, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.
” It is noteworthy that the Emir of Ilorin has been at the forefront of the promotion of peace, harmony and development, not only in the Ilorin Emirate, but Kwara and Nigeria at large in the last 29 years of his reign. ”
