The Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA) in Kwara State has hailed the Nigerian Army for naming a building after its president, Maj.Gen Lasisi Abidoye.
The association in a statement by its spokesman, Olayinka Owolewa congratulated Abidoye, describing him as a fine ambassador of the community.
“This prestigious recognition is a testament to Maj.Gen Abidoye’s outstanding contributions to the College and the Nigerian Army, showcasing his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the nation.
“Major General Olayemi Lasisi Abidoye Block was commissioned in acknowledgment of Maj.Gen Abidoye’s tireless efforts, both past and present.
“On behalf of the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti and the Olomu-in-Council, sons and daughters of Omu-Aran, we want to congratulate you on this well deserved honour.
“This honour is a significant milestone in his illustrious career, and the Omu-Aran community is proud to celebrate his achievement.
“We celebrate this achievement and look forward to many more years of service and leadership from Maj.Gen Abidoye,” ODA said.
It added that Abidoye’s dedication to the growth and development of Omu-Aran has not gone unnoticed, saying that the latest honour is a testament to his enduring commitment to the community.
