Emnamu Foundation, an organisation established by a philanthropist in Adamawa State, Dr Emmanuel Musa, has initiated dialogue between farmers and herders to ensure peace in otherwise troubled communities.

In the course of the dialogue, both parties interacted on ways to tackle clashes that often occur between them.

The dialogue, a part of activities of the birthday celebration of Dr Musa, became what was described as a tool for unity and a forum at which herders and farmers gathered under one roof and deliberated on how peace and unity can be fostered across the entire state and the nation as a whole.

It was a double ceremony at the Kala’a Primary School football field in Hong local government area where the Emnamu founder, in his usual magnanimity, rendered his humanitarian support to women, children and the elderly.

The philanthropist who stated that over 5,000 less privileged across the country have benefitted from the humanitarian gesture of Emnamu Foundation over time, promised to do more, stressing that his greatest achievement is not accumulation of wealth but touching the lives of the needy.

He called on members of the foundation to sustain the spirit in combating the menace of climate change, disclosing that the foundation has planted over 10,000 trees in the state and beyond.

Some of the personalities who graced the occasion included the member representing Hong/Gombi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. James Barka; a former member of the state House of Assembly from Hong consistency, Hassan Mamman Barguma and the lead coordinator of Multi-sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), Chief Maurice Vunobulki.
