In a spirited move to blend sportsmanship with professional camaraderie, the Lagos branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has launched the inaugural Premier Bar League 2025.

This thrilling football competition, aiming to ignite enthusiasm and foster unity among legal professionals in an engaging new way, is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the State-of-the-art Turf Arena in Oniru Estate, Victoria Island, with members of the bar eagerly encouraged to rally behind their respective teams.
Speaking at the lively draw ceremony ahead of the competition, the chairman of the league committee, Mr. Kunle Olaofe, shared the exciting vision behind the league, emphasizing that the competition is designed not only to engage lawyers in sporting activities but also to create a unique networking platform that promotes interaction and solidarity within the legal community.

NBA Lagos branch chairman, Mr. Bisi Makanjuola, highlighted the initiative’s core mission for the football league.
Makanjuola, who was represented by Mrs. Uchenna Akingbade, expressed hopes that the exciting league will spur greater participation in physical activities among branch members, while deeply rooting solidarity and mutual support.

The Lagos Premier Bar League 2025, running from February 16th to April 13th, 2025, will feature 16 determined teams – 12 male and four female under the expert guidance of Technical Partner Mr. Olujimi Olujide-Poko.
The twelve male teams that will vie for fantastic prizes on offer in Premier Bar League 2025, promising to deliver unforgettable moments, have been split into two groups of six teams each.

Group A, comprises Tats Africa, Grey FC, NBA Young Boys FC, Unilawrin Alumni FC, Shield United Fc and Nexus FC, while Unilawrin Alumni United, Falana & Falana, CLG All Stars, Welfare FC, Gavalex FC and Legal FC will battle it out in group B.
