The initiative was aimed at building greater trust in the government’s intervention programmes and enhancing the efficiency of agricultural support systems in the state.

The inauguration of the committee’s members was held on Tuesday at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development headquarters in Ilorin, the state capital and was attended by ministry officials, heads of agricultural bodies and associations, including members of the general public.

The commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afeez Abolore charged the committee members to uphold the principles of integrity, fairness, and service to the people.

“This committee is not just symbolic—it is strategic,” the commissioner stated, stressing the administration’s determination to ensure that the right support reaches farmers at the right time time.
