Katsina State Governor and Chairman of the Northwest Governors Forum, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has lauded the outstanding achievements of his counterparts from Jigawa and Kano States following their recognition at the 17th Leadership Newspaper Awards held in Abuja.
In a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda congratulated Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, who was named Governor of the Year 2024 for his impactful governance and dedication to improving the lives of the people in Jigawa.
Governor Radda also commended Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who received the LEADERSHIP Governor of the Year 2024 for Education award in acknowledgement of his bold education reforms that have significantly transformed the sector in Kano State.
“These prestigious accolades bestowed upon my distinguished colleagues symbolize the exceptional quality of leadership, governance, and unwavering commitment to service that characterize the Northwest region,” Governor Radda said.
He further emphasized that the awards are a source of pride not only for the states of Jigawa and Kano but for the entire Northwest region, showcasing the positive strides being made under their stewardship. Governor Radda urged the awardees to sustain their momentum, encouraging them to continue executing policies that foster long-term development and positively impact their citizens.
“These feats should serve as further motivation to never lower your gaze in the pursuit of transformative governance. The people of Northwest Nigeria deserve nothing less than your continued dedication to programs and policies with long-term developmental impacts,” he added.
