Makinde stressed that he ensured neutrality throughout the selection process in order to prevent bias and ensure a fair and unbiased resolution.

The governor assured the monarch of his determination to ensure a befitting renovation and reconstruction of the Alaafin Palace.

Earlier, Alaafin had extolled Govenor Makinde’s virtues, describing him as an objective man who is extremely curious and always on the quest for truth.

Oba Owoade noted that whilst remaining faithful to personal principles, “The Governor is ever ready to succumb to superior argument if logic and evidence are compelling enough”.

According to him, “Gov. Makinde is deeply a passionate person. He beliefs in the cause that he espouses. He is passionate about the cause of emancipation of his people”.

Alaafin Owoade further lauded Makinde for his steadfastness and sense of commitment to the well-being of the people of the Pacesetter State.

He told the governor that he would not relent in building the trust among the people by showing authentic concern for their well-being and by acknowledging their strengths, challenges, and aspirations.

“I will not only ensure open and transparent communication, but prioritise clear, honest, and consistent communication with the people. This open communication will further cultivate a sense of shared responsibility and trust within the people.

“When leaders genuinely care about their people, they create an environment where trust can flourish, leading to stronger relationships, improved performance, and long-term success”, the monarch said.

The Alaafin who called for the installation of CCTV cameras between Oyo and Fiditi Town, told the governor that CCTV cameras had been installed between Ibadan and Fiditi.

While praying God to grant the governor long life and good health in steering the ship of the state, the Alaafin enjoined the people to reciprocate the gesture of good governance by the governor through their unalloyed support and cooperation to his administration.
