Speaking with journalists in Kalgo where he collected his PDP membership card, Usman said his decision was informed by firm belief in true democracy and good governance anchored on inclusiveness, team play, mutual collaborations and respect for one another by the PDP ‘s gubernatorial candidate, General Aminu Bande (rtd) if elected as the governor of the state in 2023.

“Similarly, my defection was informed by firm belief in restoring people’s confidence in the democratic process of the PDP in Kebbi State, by way of supporting credible, experienced, competent candidates that emerged through the established democratic process as against serial imposition, nepotic and corrupt system of the ruling APC in the state,’’ Usman said.
