Stakeholders in the creation of Anioma State have picked holes in the view, in some quarters, that Senator Ned Nwoko is championing the cause of the state for  self- interest.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, the Media Director, Anioma State Creation, Chief Tonia Oganah, decried some people’s wrong impression that Ned Nwoko was on a self-serving mission over state creation.

According to him, the Senator representing Delta North in the Upper House, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, is passionate and committed to creating Anioma State for developmental purposes.

Oganah, a lawyer, publisher and Public Affairs analyst, noted that Senator Nwoko’s desire and commitment to the creation of Anioma State were purely driven by altruistic reasons.

Speaking against the backdrop of the recently held South-South and South East Zonal Senate Public Hearings on the Constitution Review held at Uyo, Akwa Ibom, and Enugu States, respectively, he enthused that the issue of Anioma State creation was at the centre of the parley.

Oganah said, “Senator Ned Nwoko is genuinely concerned that his Delta North constituency deserves a better place in the present political dispensation, hence he has aligned accordingly with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration to better the lot of his people.
