Abia Council Mayor Pledges Support For Door-to-door Sanitation Inspection

‎Mayor, Osisioma Ngwa local government council, Chidi Agu has pledged to provide both financial and material support for the conduct of door-to-door environmental sanitation in the area.

‎Agu stated this while speaking to LEADERSHIP after addressing staff members of the environmental health department of the council, adding that he is committed to the success of sanitation.

‎The Abia State government had last week announced the reintroduction of statewide sanitary inspection involving 1,000 personnel for improve sanitation of the state.

‎Chidi, who urged the members against compromising standard for the sanitation, described the government‘s intention as not only timely but also a step in the right direction.

‎Soliciting the support of the residents  the for the sanitation, he urged them to take the cleanliness of their environment and the state monthly environmental sanitation exercise seriously.

‎At the meeting the head the department, Ndudim Adindu expressed the readiness of the members to carry out their assignment promptly with diligence.

 

‎He stressed the involvement of traditional rulers, community leaders, and the public in the sanitation adding that its success is for the overall wellbeing of the entire residents.

 

‎Speaking further, he explained that there will be no room for poor execution of the sanitation in order not to betray the confidence reposed in them.
