Abia Governor Asks Security Agencies To Protect Public Property

‎Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has tasked security agencies to protect the public property and assets to ensure they serve their purposes.

‎Otti stated this at the flag-off of the resuscitation of Aba regional water scheme and the State Integrated (WASH) Accelerated Programme in Aba, the commercial  hub of the state.

‎His words, “The initiative, in addition to guaranteeing steady and sufficient water supply, will also support human hygiene and effective sanitation.

‎”The project will also support emergency response services, especially in moments of fire outbreaks, enabling rescue workers to save lives and mitigate damages to property.”

‎Contributing, the member representing Aba Central constituency, Ucheonye Stephen and the leader of Aba organised private sector, John Udeagbala lauded Otti for the projects.

‎In a goodwill message, the Catholic Bishop of Aba Diocese, Most Rev. Prof. Augustine Echema commended the governor for the laudable project he initiated.

‎The bishop, who described it as a new beginning in Abia State, said that the governor is matching words with action, adding that Abia has not have it so good as it is today.

‎Earlier, the general manager of the  State Water and Sewage Corporation, Felix Okonkwo, said the event was a bold initiative to improve the living standard of the people.
