5,000 Civil Servants Write Confirmation Exams In Kaduna

No fewer than 5,000 Kaduna State civil servants have started writing Computer-Based Test confirmation examinations after two years of probation period.

The exercise which was expected to last for three days where the candidates will be sitting for the test across all cadres of the civil service as Zone 2 has the highest number of participants with 3,000 candidates, while Zones 1 and 3 have 1,000 candidates each.

Kaduna State Head of Civil Service, Jummai Bako, who expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the CBT examinations, explained that the exercise was crucial for the confirmation of civil servants in the state’s workforce.

Bako who made the remarks after inspecting CBT centres, said examinations were being held across three designated centres, including Kaduna State University (main campus) for Zone 2, Federal College of Education, Zaria for Zone 1; and Kaduna State University’s Kafanchan campus for Zone 3.

The Head of Service commended the Governor Uba Sani for supporting and strengthening the state civil service through training and capacity building since he assumed office.

She enjoined civil servants to be dedicated to their job by maintaining good work ethics, considering the training that they have been receiving since the present administration came on board.

“The purpose of us being here today is to inspect the civil service examination, which will ensure the confirmation of the appointment of civil servants who have been on the two-year probation.

“I am impressed by what I have seen so far. From the turnout to the manner in which the exams are being conducted. For those experiencing little challenges, the invigilators are on ground to attend to them promptly,” she said.
