APC Group Hails Fubara’s Defection

The All Progressives Congress (APC) political support group, G37, has congratulated the Governor of Rivers State for defecting from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC.
National coordinator of the group, Comrade City Evans, gave the commendation in Abuja yesterday while interacting with journalists.

Evans said the governor’s decision to join the APC was “the best move at this critical time,” noting that members of the group from Rivers State were delighted with the development.

“The decision is a welcome one and we from Rivers State are very happy about it. The governor has taken a bold step of upgrading himself into national politics,” he said.

He further praised the governor for placing the collective interest of Rivers people above personal considerations, assuring that G37 and other stakeholders would mobilise support to ensure the success of his administration.

Evans also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as his role in restoring peace to Rivers State, adding that the atmosphere of stability created space for political alignment and progress.
