The Kwara State House of Assembly yesterday passed a sum of N656.5bn as 2026 budget for the state.
The approval of the sum as budget for the year saw an increase of N10.5bn on the earlier budget estimate of N646bn presented to the House by the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The passage of the 2026 Appropriation Bill followed its presentation on the floor of the House on the report of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation.
The chairman of the committee, Hon. Arinola Lawal, laid the report at the plenary presided over by the speaker, Engr. Yakubu Danladi -Salihu.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had on December 22, 2025 tabled N646bn as this year’s budget estimate before the House for consideration and approval.
