The Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana, has conferred a Professional Fellowship Doctorate honorary award on the Chairman of Oshodi Local Government Area in Lagos State, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede, in recognition of his contributions to leadership and public resources management.
The institute, in a notification issued by its Governing Council and Advisory Board, said the award forms part of its 2026 Hall of Fame honours, which celebrate individuals it described as credible statesmanship personalities across West Africa.
According to the institute, the honour recognises the council chairman’s role in community development initiatives, including the construction and refurbishment of schools, improvements to healthcare facilities, road infrastructure, market development, electrification projects, and student support programmes within the Oshodi Local Government Area.
CIPRMP noted that the investiture ceremony was scheduled to take place on February 6, 2026, during a formal visit by the institute’s executive directors, led by its Vice President, to the council executive office or another designated venue.
The institute said the award was also in recognition of what it described as the recipient’s commitment to administrative leadership, public service delivery and economic development within the local government and beyond.
The CIPRMP, a professional body based in Ghana, stated that the Hall of Fame initiative is designed to recognise public officials and professionals whose work contributes to governance, policy development and community advancement across the West African sub-region.
