Grand Master Tayo Popoola, President of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF), has implored millions of Christians and Muslims across Nigeria and worldwide to seek divine intervention as the periods of Ramadan and Lent commence. She expressed high hopes that their heartfelt prayers would be answered, emphasising the divine call to prayer and fasting.
Speaking via NTF Media, Popoola encouraged both Christian and Muslim adherents to approach their fasting and prayers with a spirit of love and unity of purpose.
“As we all embark on this period of fasting and prayer, it is a time for sober reflection and selflessness. We should graciously demonstrate love, kindness, and exhibit true peace and unity, in line with our faith,” she stated.
Popoola further added that this period also offers an opportunity for spiritual and personal renewal, which should positively impact the nation’s fortunes. “I urge Nigerians to also utilise this time to pray for peace, unity, and the sustained socio-economic growth of Nigeria.”
