The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Imo State Chapter, under the leadership of the State Chairman, Prof. James Okoroma, has said the task before the National Membership Mobilization, Registration and Revalidation Committee (NMMRRC) was critical to consolidate growth in the party.
Okoroma made the disclosure during the inauguration of the National Membership Mobilization, Registration and Revalidation Committee (NMMRRC) at the party’s State Secretariat, in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
He said the committee’s mandate was central to the party’s strategic roadmap for growth, adding that a robust, verifiable, and technology-driven membership database from the polling units to the state level was critical to the ADC’s electoral success in 2027.
Further, he said that grassroots localization of party structures was critical to democratic consolidation, and called on the committee to work collaboratively with support groups and stakeholders to expand the party’s reach across the state.
Okoroma disclosed that the ADC in Imo was fully prepared to provide the necessary institutional support to ensure the committee delivers effectively on its constitutional responsibilities.
He expressed gratitude to the national leadership of the party, led by Senator David Mark, for what he described as a meticulous and merit-based selection of committee members.
On his part, the ADC National Vice Chairman, South East, Chief Bon Unachukwu, commended the national leadership for its visionary direction and praised the Imo state leadership for fostering unity and synergy across all party structures.
Unachukwu said that the composition of the committee reflects experience, capacity, and political inclusiveness, saying it was a strong foundation for the party’s membership drive and consolidation ahead of future electoral engagements.
He charged members of the committee, led by Nze Law Biaduo, to justify the confidence reposed in them by mobilizing, registering, and revalidating members and supporters across the state, in line with the party’s transformation agenda.
The event brought together several ADC stalwarts including the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Damian Ezeagu; the National Vice Woman Leader (South East), Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Chioma Anyanwu, the Director-General of the Rebuild Imo Movement; Dr. Vin Udokwu; the State Organising Secretary, Hon. Nze Lawrence Nwadike; the State Publicity Secretary, Hon. MacDonald Amadi; the State Woman Leader, Hon. (Mrs.) Uju Ihejiagwa; the State INEC Liaison Officer and Electoral Matters Coordinator, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwokeke (Iroko), leaders from the 27 local government areas of the state amongst others.
End.
