Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has led other key government officials to visit former Nigerian Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and former Head of State, General  Abdulsalami  Alhaji Abubakar in the spirit of Ramadan at their residences in Minna, the Niger State capital.

The governor said the  visit was  aimed at extending Ramadan greetings, emphasising the themes of respect, unity and offering prayers for the continued peace and sound health of the elder statesmen.

Bago who prayed that Allah continued to give them more strength, wisdom, and blessings, acknowledged their enduring contributions to nation-building, which has earned them respect globally.

Bago expressed gratitude to the elder statesmen for their fatherly pieces of advice on how to move the state forward and reaffirmed that he will continue to seek their wise counsel.

The two former heads of state, Generals Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Alhaji Abubakar, appreciated farmer governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his developmental strides in the state.
