The senator representing Ogun West district in the National Assembly (NASS), Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on Monday, warned his teeming supporters across the state to desist from all forms of attack against the personality, or aspirations of any politician in the state under the guise of championing the course of his gubernatorial ambition.
Senator Adeola gave the warning in a statement issued yesterday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital and personally signed by himself.
Adeola, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee of Appropriations said the warning became necessary in view of the plethora of social and conventional media attacks authored by some of his loyalists in Ogun.
Adeola appealed that his loyalists within the state chapter of the party, APC, as well as those non-political lovers should redirect their efforts towards showcasing the numerous projects which he has facilitated to the various parts of the state; those ones executed by “the governor of our state, Prince Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Our focus should be on continuity of the ongoing reforms of our great party, APC at both the state and national level and not on any unproductive internal bickering.”
LEADERSHIP however, observed that the senator’s warning was coming on the heels of the swelling number of politicians, justling to govern the state come year 2027.
