XLCreativeHub has opened submissions for its Screenwriting Competition and Creator Residency in Abuja, inviting screenwriters and storytellers to submit synopses of original feature-length film scripts.

The announcement was made in a statement posted on the organisation’s website on Sunday.
“Entries will be reviewed between March 17 and 20, after which six finalists will be selected and announced on March 20. The announcement will be streamed live on XLCreativeHub’s YouTube channel,” the statement read.

According to the Chief Operating Officer of XLCreativeHub, Mr Josh Akosile, the judging panel comprises Halima Odiegwu, Emil Guruba and Kehinde Joseph.

“The six shortlisted finalists will participate in a week-long residency scheduled to hold from March 22 to 28. During the residency, participants will receive mentorship from industry professionals aimed at strengthening and refining their scripts,” said Akosile
“Public voting for the winner will commence on March 28 and conclude on April 6, while the overall winner will be announced on April 7, 2026,” Akosile
added.

Describing the initiative as a platform for emerging creatives, Akosile said the programme offers participants the opportunity to develop their ideas into full-scale productions.
