TikToker Peller Defends Mercedes-Benz Gift To Partner Jarvis

Social media personality and TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has defended his decision to gift his partner, Jarvis, a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 following criticism from social media users.

The luxury vehicle was presented to Jarvis on her birthday in a moment captured in a viral video that has since circulated widely online. In the clip, Jarvis appeared visibly emotional as she received the car, reportedly worth millions of naira.

While some fans praised the gesture as romantic and generous, others criticised the influencer for what they described as excessive spending. Critics also drew comparisons to a car he previously purchased for his mother.
Responding to the backlash in a separate video, Peller insisted that the gift was not intended to secure Jarvis’s affection but to reflect his financial capacity and appreciation for her.

“Am I the first person to buy his girlfriend a car? I love my baby. I didn’t buy Jarvis a car so that she can stay with me; she deserves it. I don’t care if she leaves me later,” he said.

Addressing comparisons with the car he bought for his mother, Peller stated: “My mom wanted a Toyota worth ₦9 million, but I bought her a Hyundai worth ₦20 million instead. People would still have dragged me even if I’d bought her the ₦9 million Toyota.”

He further added that he would spend even more in the future if Jarvis bears him a child.
