The Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of Punch Nigeria, Adeyeye Joseph, has been appointed to the Board of the World Editors Forum), a global network of newsroom leaders within the World Association of News Publishers.
Joseph’s appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Executive Director of the World Editors Forum, Cherilyn Ireton.
According to the statement, Joseph brings more than 25 years of journalism experience and has led Punch Nigeria through a major digital transformation that expanded its reach while strengthening newsroom capacity and commercial sustainability.
President of the World Editors Forum and Editor-in-Chief of The Globe and Mail, David Walmsley, welcomed Joseph to the board, noting that his experience would enrich the forum’s global conversations.
“We are delighted to welcome Adeyeye to the board. He brings valuable experience and perspective from a region of the world that is often underrepresented in our discussions,” Walmsley said.
The World Editors Forum serves as the editors’ network of the World Association of News Publishers, providing a platform for media leaders to collaborate on newsroom innovation, editorial leadership and the future of journalism worldwide.
