Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, was said to have snubbed her colleague, Toyin Abraham, at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s Return of Arinzo, held last week, which attracted many actors and celebrities.
Toyin Abraham, who is still savouring her movie Oversabi Aunty, which hit the one billion naira box office record, arrived a bit late as the movie was about to be screened. She greeted Funke Akindele as a colleague would, but Funke maintained a stern look and did not respond to her greeting. She overlooked this and greeted the host, Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe, others seated around the same table.
In a dramatic response to the snub, Toyin Abraham has unfollowed Funke Akindele, whose movie, Behind The Scene, has set a record of box office hit to go beyond one billion Naira across the globe.
Toyin has gone to her Instagram handle to announce she will not greet Funke ever again because of the cold treatment meted out to her.
Reacting, Toyin wrote that she has unfollowed Funke and would never greet her again.
She wrote: “I have unfollowed her, God forbid bad thing. If I ever greet her again, that means I am a bastard.”
The video, which has gone viral, showed Toyin showing respect to Funke Akindele and Iyabo Ojo, to which Iyabo and other celebs responded, but Funke did not, which many lead to another quarrel between them, perhaps.
A search shows that Toyin Abraham has unfollowed Funke Akindele, and Funke has also ‘returned the favour’ by unfollowing Toyin.
Mercy Aigbe and Funke Akindele are part of the casts of the movie and were seated when the incident happened.
Toyin Abraham came into the venue when the co-anchor and comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st announced that everyone should be seated as the movie screening was about to begin. This was around past 9pm already.
