The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Chief Benjamin Omale, has assured aspirants of a transparent and level playing field ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging them to intensify consultations and grassroots mobilisation for the party.

Omale gave the assurance at the APC State Secretariat in Makurdi when a senatorial aspirant for Benue North-East (Zone A), Arc. John Mlanga Anyom, formally informed the party of his intention to contest the 2027 senatorial election.

In a statement issued by the APC state publicity secretary, Benedict Yawe, on Tuesday, Omale described the visit as timely, noting that Mlanga is qualified to vie for the position, and encouraged him to broaden consultations across the senatorial district.

The APC chairman also urged the aspirant to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia and all APC candidates in 2027, in order to consolidate on what he described as the administration’s developmental progress.

Earlier, the senatorial aspirant, John Mlanga Anyom, said his visit was to identify with the newly- inaugurated State Executive Committee and formally declare his ambition to represent Zone A in the Senate.
