Embrace Politics Of Development, Sen Katung Tells Constituents

The senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Marshall Katung, has advised his constituents to embrace the politics of development and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sani Uba’s second-term ambitions, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of 2027.

Katung, who stated this after a week-long tour of eight local government areas of Kaduna South Senatorial District, made the case for continuity and highlighted bold federal government’s interventions under the Ahmed Tinubu  administration, including the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and the Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan — projects long demanded by the people but only delivered under the APC.

In a statement issued by Katung’s special adviser on Media and Communications, Midat Joseph, the senator said the outreach was designed to connect directly with the constituents, listen to their concerns and strengthen party structures at the ward and local government levels.

“The tour was more than familiarisation — it was a political offensive to consolidate the grassroots, energise party structures and align Southern Kaduna firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of 2027,” he said.

Katung noted that the politics of development must replace the politics of sentiment if the senatorial district was to attract more federal and state attention.

“Politics is about results, and results are what we are seeing. For decades, Southern Kaduna has been asking for these institutions. President Tinubu listened and acted. That is the politics of performance, not empty “promises.”

The Senator praised Sani’s inclusive governance style and his deliberate steps to heal old wounds and restore trust across Kaduna State.
