The Adamawa State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated its State Executive Council, naming Saidu Komsisiri as chairman.
Komsisiri, a former caretaker committee chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), hails from Jada Local Government Area—the same locality as prominent ADC figure, Atiku Abubakar.
Other members of the newly- constituted executive include Joseph Kwatri as deputy chairman, Isa Ahmad as state secretary, and Emmanuel Dominic as assistant secretary.
The 33-member council also features zonal vice-chairmen: Abubakar Ahmed (Central), Yunusa Buwsngci (Northern), and Mohammed Bobboi (Southern). Bala Jingi was named state treasurer, with Danladi Daniel as assistant treasurer, while Mustapha Birboduwomi and Musa Mairiga were appointed financial secretary and assistant financial secretary, respectively.
The party’s momentum in Adamawa recently gained traction following the defection of Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani from the ADC, a move seen as a significant boost to the NDC’s prospects in the state.
Speaking to journalists, Komsisiri said the new leadership would focus on strengthening party unity and consolidating support ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing confidence in the party’s growing influence.
