All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirants in Bauchi state have been reminded that only one of them would emerge victorious in the forthcoming party’s primary elections.
To this end, the aspirants to the Bauchi coveted seat are equally enjoined of the need to support whoever among them carry the guber flag to the 2027 general elections while ensuring that APC sweep the polls in all elective positions across the state.
The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate, who made the observation also tasked all aspirants to the various elective offices under the APC to ensure rancour-free primary elections, and for the party to carry the show at electoral level.
Prof. Pate explained that power belongs to God Who gives it whoever he likes, and takes it away from whomever He wants, and urged each and every aspirant to concede defeat in the primaries if it so happened.”
Apart from individual contest to elective office, and winning or losing, the minister stated, the ultimate objective or goal of any member or supporter of the APC is for the party to emerge victorious at any point in time.
“No any person can bestow leadership or power to any individual no matter his position in the society, for such bestowment belongs only the Almighty Allah,” Pate further stated, and called on all citizens of Bauchi state to put all hands on deck in ensuring the socio-economic, political and infrastructural development of the state.
The minister in a video clip message dispatched to all APC family in Bauchi and entire citizens of the state Tuesday, assured of working closely and supporting any candidate who emerged from the primaries to his/victory in the 2027 elections.
He also called on all APC members and supporters as well as electorates alike to ensure that all APC candidates including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sail through the rigours of elections to victory in the 2027 polls.
The minister similarly appealed to youths whom he described as vanguard of democracy, especially the party vanguard to ensure rancour-free forthcoming primary elections.
“Let’s all put our hands on deck to ensure that only credible candidates emerge from the primary elections, as well as subsequent victory in all the elective positions comes 2027 general elections”, minister Pate concluded.
