Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., has announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 48-year-old former model shared the development on Wednesday via her official Instagram account, stating that she is already working with her medical team on a treatment plan.
“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan. I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me,” she wrote.
She added that she remains hopeful and focused on her recovery while surrounded by the support of her children and close family members, requesting privacy during the period.
Following the announcement, members of the Trump family, including Ivanka Trump, publicly expressed their support and prayers for her swift recovery. At the same time, her eldest daughter, Kai, described her as the “strongest person” she knows.
Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, and the former couple has five children together.
