Gwarzo Pays Tribute To Late Emir of Gumel

President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has eulogised the late Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani II, describing his death as a great loss to Jigawa State and the Gumel Emirate.

In a statement he issued to newsmen, Gwarzo described the late emir as a widely loved and respected traditional ruler who enjoyed the loyalty and affection of his people throughout his 46-year reign.

He said the monarch’s long reign and the love he received from his people reflected his commitment to good leadership and service.

“A leader who is loved this way by his people after more than 46 years on the throne says a lot about his good leadership, commitment and service to the people. This is worthy of emulation by all traditional rulers and those entrusted with positions of authority,” Gwarzo stated.

The MAAUN president extended his condolences to the government and people of Jigawa State, particularly the people of the Gumel Emirate, on behalf of himself and the entire MAAUN community.

He said the late Emir’s death had created a huge vacuum that would not be easy to fill.

“His death has created a huge vacuum that cannot be filled easily. May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus,” he prayed.

Gwarzo also prayed for Allah to grant the late Emir’s family, the Gumel Emirate and the people of Jigawa State the fortitude to bear the loss.
