‎Mrs Otti stated this at the launch of the Safe Tent Back-to-School Outreach for the 2025/2026 academic year, in Umuahia, the state capital.

‎She expressed the hope that the materials would ensure the beneficiaries including those from vulnerable homes, have unhindered access to education.

‎She said the initiative was a further boost to the free and compulsory basic education programme launched this year by Governor Alex Otti.

‎She described teachers as the hand that holds the future and advised them to teach with care and compassion to produce future leaders for the state.

Assuring that subsequent phases of the programme would be extended to other parts of the state, she said her office would continue to partner the outreach.
