Adekimi Ojo Resumes Duty As Kwara’s New Police Commissioner

A new Police Commissioner for Kwara State, Adekimi Ojo, has assumed duty in the Command headquarters in Ilorin.

The appointment of Ojo as the 44th Commissioner of Police in Kwara State followed the promotion of the immediate-past Commissioner of Police in the state, Victor Olaiya, to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

The spokesperson of the State’s Police Command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the appointment of Ojo as the new commissioner of Police in the state

The PPRO said Adekimi Ojo is a seasoned law enforcement officer with a distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force. Having served meritoriously over three decades, the CP brings his wealth of experience in crime prevention, intelligence-led policing, and strategic security management. His leadership style is expected to further strengthen security measures, enhance public safety, and foster improved community relations within the state.

“The new commissioner has served in various operational, investigative, and administrative capacities across different states in Nigeria, demonstrating a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and proactive policing. Until his recent appointment, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, Kwara State Command, where he played a pivotal role in crime-fighting strategies and security coordination.

“CP Adekimi Ojo assures the good people of Kwara State of his unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, combating crime, and fostering a safer environment for all. He also calls on residents to remain law-abiding and cooperate with the police by providing credible information that will aid in crime prevention and prompt response to security concerns.
