Agric Firm Grows Profit Before Tax By 57.1% To N177.9bn In 2025

Presco Plc has reported a 57.1 per cent increase in profit before tax to N177.9 billion for the 2025 financial year, riding on improved yields, higher commodity prices, and tighter cost management.

The Company delivered double-digit growth across every major line of the income statement and entered 2026 with growth momentum already extending into the new financial year.

For the full year 2025, the Company recorded a profit before tax of N177.9 billion, representing a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 57.1 per cent; while profit after tax grew by 56.1 per cent Y-o-Y to N121.5 billion.

Revenue rose by 59.3 per cent Y-o-Y to N330.6 billion, while gross profit increased by 70.6 per cent Y-o-Y to N242.2 billion

Operating profit up by 70.8 per cent Y-o-Y to N214.9 billion, while EBITDA stood at N211.8 billion at a 64.1 per cent margin.

Total equity up by 109.6 per cent Y-o-Y to N442.7 billion, while total assets rose by 94.9 per cent Y-o-Y to N926.0 billion.

For the first quarter (Q1) ended March 31, 2026, the Company posted revenue growth of 7.5 per cent Y-o-Y, an increase of N7.1 billion; while profit before tax grew by 18.2 per cent Y-o-Y, an increase of N10.6 billion.

Speaking about the results, the managing director and chief executive officer, Reji George, said, “growing profit before tax by 57.1 per cent to N177.9 billion, alongside 59.3 per cent revenue growth, reflects the underlying strength of our operations and the effectiveness of our strategy. 2025 has been a defining year for Presco.

“This growth is being sustained. Q1 2026 has already delivered an 18.2 per cent increase in profit before tax and a margin of 68.7 per cent.”

George stated that “with a stronger capital base, a larger plantation footprint, and the ongoing integration of Nsadop Boki, the company targets continued earnings growth.
