Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Commits To Training 3,000 Public Leaders

Founder of Aig-Imoukhuede foundation, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede said the foundation has made a big commitment to train up to 3,000 public leaders at world -class training level with $100 million.

Disclosing this at the graduation ceremony of the 3rd cohorts for the Aig Public Leaders Programme 2024 held in Abuja, he noted that the commitment is made to invest significantly in the skills of public sector personnel, both at the junior, middle and at the senior levels.

Speaking at the event, he said, “We have under-invested significantly in the skills of our public sector personnel so we made a big commitment to a $100million over a certain period of time to train up to 3000 public leaders a world class training level, we worked with school of oxford, we arrange training in Nigeria here.

“We also send West African public sector employees to oxford University for masters in public policy. and when we find Africans we have really excelled we send them for fellowship we have numbers of training programs and we have commitment that if we train and invest in them Nigerians and Africans being what they are will excel in this public sector.

Speaking on the help the foundation has rendering to the country, the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi Esan noted that the foundation has really helped the civil service technically and financially, she stated that the foundation championed digitalization, helped built civil servants capacity, assisted the office with training program and one on one mentoring of permanent secretary and directors.

Commending the foundation, the minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa stated that he is impressed with what AIG – Imoukhuede foundation is doing, adding  that the foundation is building capacity in the country where it is needed the most, public service.
