Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare is set to join Dutch giants Ajax from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the move now in its final stages.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the agreement is a season-long loan that includes a purchase option worth over €20 million.
“Ajax are closing in on a deal to sign Tolu Arokodare as their new striker from Wolves! Club-to-club agreement done on loan with a buy option for a package slightly over €20m,” Romano posted on X.
“Ajax wanted Tolu as their priority target—club sources confirm they’re now working on final details.”
The 25-year-old forward had previously attracted interest from Serie A sides Fiorentina and Genoa, but Ajax moved quickly to secure his signature.
Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian club KRC Genk last summer. In 33 league appearances for the Old Gold, he scored three goals and provided one assist.
