Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya has shared a cryptic message on social media following allegations made by his estranged wife, Nafisat Feenah Hammed, about the collapse of their marriage.

In a post on Instagram, the actor shared a light-hearted video of himself with a woman alongside a message encouraging people not to let public opinion influence their choices.

“Never change your decisions due to fear of society. Society will give you advice, not food. Gbam,” he wrote.

The post comes shortly after Hammed publicly addressed the end of their marriage, claiming she walked away last year after enduring emotional distress and feeling unvalued in the relationship. She also alleged that the marriage was marked by violence and accused Olaiya of infidelity involving one of his close friends.

Neither Olaiya nor his representatives have publicly responded to the specific allegations.

The development follows reports that the couple’s marriage ended barely a year after their wedding. An alleged dissolution letter that surfaced online claimed the actor made several attempts to reconcile with his wife and involved members of her family in mediation efforts, but the reconciliation was unsuccessful as she reportedly declined to continue the marriage.
