WIth the timeline for electioneering activities closing in, All Progressives Congress (APC) have concluded plans to erect structures across the 329 wards spread across the 31 local government areas ahead of the polls proper in 2027.

Towards this end, the council leaders, elders and stakeholders have declared their endorsement for President Bola Tinubu; Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno, for second terms respectively.

The latest councils included Uyo, Etinan, Nsit Ubium,Nsit Ibom, Mkpat Enin and others, who have unanimously endorsed a one united Akwa Ibom State under the one umbrella initiative of Governor Eno, since ditching the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, to pitch tent with the central rulling APC on June 6, 2025.

At Uyo LGA, where the “Arise With Renewed Hope” team berth, the Chairman of Uyo LGA, Dr Uwemedimo Udo, declared that “the state capital will deliver the highest number of votes for President Tinubu, Governor Eno, Senate President Akpabio, and all candidates on the APC platform in the 2027 general elections.”

Udo made the declaration during his welcome address at the inauguration of the Uyo Chapter of the ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative, held at Ibom Hall, Uyo, explaining that the endorsements of the trio became necessary based on their track- record of achievements since 2023.

The Uyo chapter becomes the 27th to be inaugurated across the 31 LGAs, underscoring the growing grassroots mobilisation for the cause of returning President Tinubu, Akpabio and Eno, in 2027.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the president-general Uwem Okoko; the former speaker of the State House of Assembly and international deputy coordinator of the initiative, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko, described the inauguration of the Uyo chapter as spectacular, “unlike anything seen before,” saying the event reflected the seriousness and readiness of the state capital for the polls.

Similarly, stakeholders, political leaders and the people of Etinan LGA, declared that the performance of President Tinubu, Senate President Akpabio and Governor Eno, have earned their collective support at the 2027 polls.

The declaration was made during the inauguration of the Etinan chapter of the Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative Executive and Advisory Committees held at the Council Hall.

Welcoming the team, the chairman of Etinan Council, Mr Uko Umoh, described the occasion as a significant moment for the people of the area.

He stated that Etinan is known for its political consistency, noting that once the people adopt a candidate, they back such a candidate with overwhelming support.

“Our governor does not need to campaign in Etinan. This is the only LGA that began publicizing the Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative even before this visit.

“We are ready to deliver our governor. The people are happy because they have regained their lost glory, as the area now boasts one of the biggest terminals in the state,” he assured.
